how much better mpg should i get

ford f150. 3.5 eco boost engine, 10 speed transmission. how much better
mpg should i expect with a 3.15 rear axle as opposed to a 3.55 rear axle?
most of the driving will be on flat terrain in florida. also, will there be a
noticeable difference in power and acceleration with the 3.15?

I would guess about 1 mpg and a bit slower acceleration. I don't know anything about the 10 speed but depending on the gear ratio spread it could make the rear axle ratio almost irrelevant.
Yeah, I think 1 mpg is a good guess.
If you don't tow and drive the flat lands I would go with the higher ratio (3.15).
Apparently this 10 speed was a joint venture with Ford and GM and it has a tight gear ratio spread. Cat and Dogs living together!
The reason for the 10 speed tranny is to tweek every 1/10 of a mile per gallon out of every drop of gas. Coupled with the aluminum body shaving about 800 pounds on the vehicle, is's an EPA thing.
