Battery power

Asked by jemortho Dec 15, 2018 at 03:48 PM about the 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport HSE

Question type: General

I have purchased a 2017 Range Rover Discovery. It is for a second home and
will be used every 2 weeks. Should I be concerned with the battery losing
power and the computers being damaged.
If so, is there a trickle charger that might work?

yeah , you might want a batt. monitor or other type of charger to keep it up

Modern cars have a heavy battery draw due to all the electronics. Use a battery tender.

Just driving your car does not charge the battery up - there is so much electronics that it merely keeps it at the original level. I have been shocked to learn this. My wing mirrors do not close and my garage has assured me that I need to trickle charge the battery regularly - I am disappointed to hear this!
