Honda civic anti theft system
Earlier my 2017 honda civic apple carplay displayed a
screen saying something like that the system lost power
hold for 2 sec to reset which i googled and happened to
others. What happedned next i cant find anywhere
happening to other people my carplay screen displayed
that i should move my car to an open area and remove all
loose articles and park my car away from trees and
powerlines which freaked me the heck out. Now my car
runs fine. Someone please reply if this has happened to
Frankly, such thing has never happened to me, but I do not own a Honda. Perhaps you will hear from others, Honda owners or not.
Mate I am having the same issue did u manage to fix it
I had the “Anti Theft System” “The Navigation system has lost power. Push and hold the power button for more than two seconds to enable the system.” Message come up today. I was powering the car on and off with the Start button. Finally the girlfriend says try the radio power button. That worked.
I still couldn’t get it to work after pressing and holding the audio power button, anyone know why?
My 2017 civic touring lost power to the anti theft system. Nav and entertainment system didn’t work. Screen instructed hold down the power button for two secs to reset. It should say hold down the audio button for two secs to reset. Poor choice of semantics
So my 2016 Honda Civic had the exact same issue. Yes holding down the audio power button for 2 seconds did reset the system. But now the car doesn’t recognize my phone when I plug it into the phone USB port. Does anyone know a simple fix to this?
