fix EPC problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta with 40,000 miles. The EPC light came on yesterday when I started the car. It drove fine for about 40 miles. I stopped at the store and when I tried to start it again the engine initially turned over, but died within a couple of seconds. The car eventually started, but it didn't have any power. I could drive the car (at less than 5 mph), but the engine sputtered. The engine would rev to 3000 rpms, but quickly drop to a little over 1000 rpms. I started the car this morning and the engine still acts the same, but now I have an engine light as well as the EPC indicator. Are there easy things I can check before I take it to the dealership and what are the most common reasons for the problem. Thanks, Rob

Holy shit man have you figured the issues out yet? My 17 is doing the same damn thing and it's currently being checked out for the 3rd time by my mechanic. I'm on my 4th throttle body.. fml.
