Asked by GushMyGusher Aug 27, 2017 at 09:51 PM about the 2017 RAM 1500 Express Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Would I be able to take the cats off of my 2017 ram
5.7 hemi and replace them with pipes or would that
make the engine run rough due to back pressure or
o2 sensors, what do I need to do to make it work
without cats

Why? You will not gain much if any power. Just install a low restriction exhaust.

Power has nothing to do with it, I would like to know rather than anyone's disapproval, off-roading, exhaust competitions etc, need to know rather than just doing it and it hurts the engine

I've been running it with no muffler for a few weeks and would like to take it to the next step but would like to know if I would be able to just take them off and replace them or need a ECU tune or something, exhausts aren't my specialty

Guys I don't care if you like the idea or not I just want to know the affects it might have on the engine rather than an engine code, simple question you guys are avoiding
