Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Would I be able to take the cats off of my 2017 ram
5.7 hemi and replace them with pipes or would that
make the engine run rough due to back pressure or
o2 sensors, what do I need to do to make it work
without cats

I would leave the cats alone and just change the exhaust from the catalyst back. Back pressure has nothing to do with it. Removing the cats will gain very little HP and will cause issues with the rear O2 sensors resulting in a check engine light. Also removing the cats will void your warranty and it is illegal.
