Misfire

Asked by Jan 28, 2017 at 09:51 PM about the 2017 Hyundai Sonata GLS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed spark plugs today due to a cylinder 3
misfire. Start it up and idled badly and stalled. I
took the air box off and it idles almost normal but
as soon as i put it vack on it stalls. I also hear a
light hissing near where the intake ports are. Dis
not hear that prior to changing the spark plugs.
Please help.

Your Hyundai Sonata is brand new and covered by the new car warranty. You shouldn't be doing anything to it! Take it to your local Hyundai Dealer and let them fix it for free. Hopefully you haven't voided the warranty by messing with it!! HTH. -Jim
