1999 Ford Escort (automatic) won't go into 2nd gear.Was slipping for a few days and now
it won't go into second.When I try put in reverse it doesnt go unless I give it gas.

Eletronic pressure,means your trainsmission pump is probably bad,meaning may need to rebiuld or replace it.

So it does need a transmission ?? Which is a big job I assume. Guess my husband will be looking forward to that someday (soon hopefully). Thanks for your help
