My a/c doesn't work. there is pressure in the compresser but i don't hear it kicking on when i try.

If the fuses are good, it might be a sensor. I would use a jumper wire to bypass the low pressure sensor to see if it kicks on.

Is the pressure in the compressor correct? There is a pressure transducer that won't allow it to kick in otherwise.

you could have a bad low pressure switch,low on 134a,or a leak in your system,I would try recharging it and see how long it will cool,full charge with a leak should cool at least a week.
