Most transmissions don't have a drain plug so you have to loosen the oil pan bolts until fluid starts draining out at one corner. Drain as much as you can into an oil drain pan and then remove the pan. The filter may press into place or it may be bolted. Remove the old filter, install the new one. Use a new pan gasket and re-install the pan after cleaning the mating surfaces carefully. Don't over tighten the bolts! Put in the recommended amount of fluid, start the car, run it through the gears and check the level, top off if needed but don't overfill. Simple!
