Map lights on when does are opened

When in the car turn on map lights manually, open
the door and hit the lock door button on the door
panel get out and close the door. Lock the doors
with your remote and within a few seconds the
map lights will turn off

Sounds normal. On new vehicles everything, and I do mean everything, is computer controlled. Once the computer realizes you've locked the vehicle it assumes that you forgot to turn off the map light. So the computer shuts it off for you to avoid a dead battery. HTH. -Jim
