2002 Ford Taurus SE Wagon

Asked by Chris Aug 16, 2019 at 02:06 PM about the 2000 Ford Taurus SE Wagon

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am considering getting a 2002 Ford Taurus SE Wagon.  It has 91,000 miles
on it, and the asking price is $2,500.  I would want to have a mechanic take
a look at it, but vehicle seems to run well, and still looks new inside and out.
I worry a little about the fact that its seventeen years old in and of itself
though.  IN GENERAL, would this be something to steer clear of since its
pushing 20 years old?  In general I know they are reliable vehicles.  I drove
an 03 Taurus LS for a while and sold it when it hit around 170k miles, but it
was still going strong.  Don't know where it is now though.  Any insight would
be appreciated, thanks!
