any ideas I'm lost?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 2002 isuzu rodeo 2.2 4 cylinder. it just reached 70,000 miles on it i
drive it daily. i was recently away and the battery died so my wife let the car sit
for a few weeks. i changed the battery car started right up again, latter that
afternoon we where driving and the car started to sputter. i scanned the air
multiple times and came up with nothing. drove the car the next morning,
perfectly fine. later in the afternoon it sputtered again check engine light
started flashing and the shaking got uncontrollable. i pull over i scan the car i
got the pending code random misfire. so i drive the car home with zero issues.
i let it cool off i pull the plugs and there is oil covering them. i take the valve
cover off i replaced the gasket and the rings. i also replace all the plugs after
getting all of the oil out. drives perfectly fine for little while. and then sputters
little, idle doesn't drop so i thought maybe it needs to burn the rest of the oil
out. well then it started to shake again didn't die but felt like it wanted to. any
suggestions?

Try using a hotter range spark plug but also check the PCV to make sure it is working properly.

so I've checked the pct that was my step today after it continued to sputter and i bought the best spark plugs i can buy that where rated for this vehicle from advanced auto.

Your car should not be burning oil at that mileage but if it is a plug with a hotter heat range can burn the excess oil off. You will need to find a parts guy who understands this concept in order to get hotter plugs. Best has nothing to do with spark plug heat range.
