Do I really need to buy all 4 tires, only two are slightly worn

Asked by Alrame Dec 28, 2017 at 08:31 PM about the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4WD

Question type: General

I went in to a Goodyear dealer and the
guy told me about my differential
problems if I replace only the two worn
tires (both on driver's side) I told him to
match them, then he said that.

2 is OK as your Jeep runs in 2WD normally. Install the two new ones on the rear axle.

I'm with F_O_R, buy two new for rear and put best two older tires on front. He's just trying to upsell you.

I do wonder why tires are wearing out on one side of the Jeep.
