Missing clock

Asked by Kkc1967 Aug 20, 2019 at 07:34 PM about the 2017 Kia Sportage SX Turbo AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2017 KIA sportage turbo click just disappeared
get a —-. —- icon where time use to appear. There
is also a red asterisk in the far top left on top
displayed? My KIA manual that came with my car
does not have the upgraded screen I have in my
car. I depend on my clock any other KIA owners
with this type of screen gave suggestions? It did
make me feel better that others in a variety of KIA’s
have the same issue

if you mean the clock is gone, easy solution. Take sd card out while engine running for a couple of minutes. My date and time came back.

The same thing happened on my car so I tried replacing the SD card and pushed the reset button but The problem has not solved. Finally, I remove the multimedia-related fuse for 5 minutes, LOL!!! the problem was solved. As I know, when navigation related fuses are removed the memory seems to be fully initialized. Good luck.

Yep, start the vehicle, wait for navigation to fully boot up, remove the SD card, wait about 60 seconds, reinsert SD card, wait for boot up, clock and date restored.
