Asked by Guru5YBHP Dec 29, 2017 at 05:52 PM about the 2017 Ford Fusion SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've examined a Ford fusion 2017 with 43k min. Car
systems were all ok with clean title and clean car
fax ... However on the bottom right rear found a
small crack on the chassis on the jack hole/or the
tie down hole not sure plz check the photo.
My question is it something to worry about ?

It's not structural in any way, I'm not even certain it's metal, is it rubber that was painted same as trunk? To answer your question, this is not something to worry about, as long as rest of car is in nice condition and was well maintained. BTW this is a lot of miles for a 1-yr old car, find out what it was used for. Highway commutes are one thing, Uber or pizza delivery is another.

That is not something I would even consider worrying about. I am thinking this is a tie down hole used when shipping a vehicle to the dealership.
