Sprinkler water damage on cars

Asked by HLsummer18 May 01, 2017 at 08:32 PM about the 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Do I need to be considered about the well water from my sprinklers hitting my
car every morning? It's a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. I just notice the well water
stains my white fence, is there a protective coating on these models where I
don't need to concern myself with a little sprinkler water?

Yes, that is hard water, even with a good protective coat over the paint, eventually it will start to stain in areas of the car.

Yes. Don't park it there or you will eventually have water spots that cannot be safely removed. Even a really good wax job won't save you from hard water.
