Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1993 k1500 with a 350 TBI in it and it wont start
unless I pour gas into the throttle body. Then I have to give
it at least 1200 rpm or it just dies out. I replaced fuel pump,
filter, and relay and it's still doing this. What could be the
problem.

Sounds like tbi is dirty spray a can of throttle body cleaner into throttle use the whole can. Keep rpms up when spraying.

I will try that for sure. It almost seems as if it's not getting fuel to the injectors until the engine starts. Could it be the oil pressure switch that is wired with the fuel pump and relay? The schematics in the Haynes manual have the 2 linking.

Did you figure this out? Mine does the same thing. I was thinking of rebuilding the throttle body. I still might do it but I’m certain this will fix anything
