93 silverado dies out

Asked by chevygirl93 Jan 16, 2017 at 12:46 AM about the 1993 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 93 silverado 1500 with a 350 5.7 L. Will
start if i pus the gas pedal all the way down but will
die a few minutes later once it has warmd it. It
spits out gas from the injectors if i try to force it to
turn on. Also a lot of black smoke leaves the
exhausts once it finally starts. Have not been aboe
to stay on longer than a few minutes if it dos start.
I her than that it will just crank.  Have replaced fuel
pump, egr, map, and fuel filter. Kinda lost asto
where to go from here.

FYI holding gas pedal all the way down will cause it to go into a "clear flood" mode, engine cranks but computer cut fuel flow by half. You'll need to get fuel injectors, rail, and regulator checked, as well as a tune-up, plugs/wires/coils.
