A vacuum leak is one cause, snug up the intake manifold bolts and check the TBI base gasket. Fuel pressure would be the next, may have a faulty fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump, fuel pressure would need to be checked. Fuel pressure should be 9 to 13 lbs, but change out the fuel filter first. Then possible it could be in the ignition system. Check to see if there is a good white, blueish spark from a spark plug wire, and one other thing that could do this is the EGR Valve if it is stuck open. You would want to take it off and clean the carbon deposits from the port and the EGR stem, and make sure it works properly. Just have to do some checking.

Ok I will check that it only does it once the pickup warms up, let it sit over night starts up and runs fine

That may be electrical. You could take out the Ignition Control Module and have it tested at an auto parts store. When they start to go bad it does not like heat, and makes them cut out.
