98 Chevy Cheyenne no tail lights

Asked by Ohyeahbigdick Jan 04, 2018 at 08:17 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Cheyenne Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm fighting this problem with having no tail lights on my
pick up I've tested it all the way up to the front connector
on the engine side of the firewall, I changed the switch
and that did nothing also the fuse is working and I have
front marker lights so that's not it. Any ideas ?

Yea but ya see there's nothing from the front by the firewall, I did just see a wire that looks like it is for the front running lights that is missing some insulation and looks to be corroded gunna look into that one and go from there

At the switch should there be power to the park lamp wire? Correct me if I'm wrong the park lights and tail lights are on the same Circuit ?
