Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just recently purchased a 2017 Ford Escape 4WD.
As soon as I drove it off the lot I have been experiencing this issue.  When I am backing out of a driveway or onto a small incline, once I shift it into drive I am hearing two distinct scraping sounds that sound like my vehicle is scraping on the pavement but it isn't physically scraping.  I have had it into Ford 4 times already.. they have replaced the RDU Clutch and also cleaned all brakes, etc and saying that it is fixed but the same issue is still happening.   Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue?

When the suspension moves there may be noises like creaking when springs compress and bushings move. Perhaps you are hearing normal noises but get someone else to listen to it. Are your tires contacting the wheel well liners?

Definitely not a normal noise. It literally sounds like the car is scraping loudly on the road. I have taken their mechanic out for a test drive and he has heard it himself and said it's not normal but they can't seem to figure out why it's making the noise. They are completely puzzled.

Update... after 10 appointments the dealership is saying this is a completely normal characteristic of all AWD Ford Escapes. Can anyone else confirm this with theirs?
