On the newer model G35's the amp is known to go bad. It is located in the trunk. The other thing know to go bad is the clarion headunit that came from the factory. (The part in which you adjust the volume from) these both will have to be tested and your beat bet would to find them used online or go aftermarket. Beware that a dash kit for our vehicle is around $200.00 because it also incorporates the A/C controls.
