Why won't the oil light go out on my 1988 Ford Crown Victoria?

Asked by kimamman Sep 10, 2018 at 12:58 PM about the 1988 Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4 Dr Country Squire LX Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had the oil changed.  Put in New filter and a new pressure switch but the light
still stays on.  Can anyone help me with this?

1 Answer

Which oil light are you talking about? There is one for oil pressure and there is one for oil quantity. Each has its own sensor. Pressure is screwed into the block, quantity is in the oil pan.
