I have a 2000 ford ranger xlt 4X4 and recentally the engine started knocking, oil was fine, the oil pressure is jumpy, cant stay in one spot, the needle on the gauge keeps jumpin around when idling, when the accelartor is pushed it is steady, but the engine is makin a knockin sound. It is louder when u climb under the truck by the oil pan and trasmission area. Any help or advice would be greatly appriecated

Sounds like a low oil pressure problem, have the oil pressure checked, the pump may be going out.
