05 Infiniti G35x weird issue

Car battery died about a week ago and I finally got
around to changing it last night only to be greeted
with a new problem. The car doesn’t respond to fob
whatsoever. I used the physical key to get in the car
but when I put it in the ignition it won’t let me move
it from the off position.

The anti theft light blinks and if I press on the
brakes the brake lights turn on, but that’s just about
the only thing that works in the car. I can’t unlock or
lock the doors using the switch. I can’t turn on the
headlights. Can’t even blow the horn. Please help

Have you ever had to put a battery in your key fob? I’ve seen it where the key fob dies also go to a parts store they have a device that can check and see if the battery is still good or needs another.

Thank you for the help guys. I’ll check the key fob first since it’s the cheapest option and if that doesn’t work then I’ll have to take it to the dEalership to see if they could reprogram the system.
