Bought a new 2017 A4. Check engine light was on immediately. Dealership took car back for 8 days and said a part needed to be rEplaced (brand new car).

Asked by Vishal May 10, 2016 at 10:56 PM about the 2017 Audi A4 2.0T quattro Premium AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I got car back, I feel like when prEssing the accelerator, the car is
sounding more as if it is having a bit of a struggle and doesn't feel as smooth
reaching a faster speed quickly as it did when I initially received it. Is this
something that is in my head or is there something possibly that may have
been altered or wrong initially?

Audi seems to have more than their share of issues. They are great cars, but they just seem to have problems. Take it back to the dealer and give them a chance to get it fixed. The dealers know their stuff and likely there is nothing sinister going on here.

I bought 2017 A4 Quattro about a month ago. Less than 1000 miles got Check engine light, and tachometer indicated red everything after 2k rpm. (Digital display tachometer) Taking it to dealership tomorrow morning. So weird, had 2014 A6 for two years prior A4 and never had an issue with it.

I just bought a 2017 A4 Allroad quattro. I'm in Vancouver, it's snowing like mad, I tried to set the Drive Select to Off Road only this feature is now in red (trouble) & keeps giving me the same error message: Audi Pre-sense: Currently restricted. Whatever that has to do with setting it to Off Road, I havent' a clue. I was fish-tailing it thru the slush at 30km/hr. What a pain as I won't be able to drive to the dealer an hour away, at that rate. Also, they couldn't give me a manual for this model, just an old 2016 A4 manual. I have a 2017 allroad technik. Totally different car. no such manual online for Canada. Big headaches. I'm afraid to ask them for a SIM card to get the car connected.

Once I had violent shakes on engine start, find out it was dying spark plug. Best way to find out is to hook it up to computer, it gives you all the data.

I’m getting a new transmission after owning almost 1 yr. 2017 A4 Premium Quattro. My 6th Audi. I’ve had oil issues in the one before my last one, but this is crazy. I’ve been back and forth for 1 month with having the dealership figure out why my car was making a screeching sound. Screeching while accelerating and decelerating. I told them I read if I put in neutral and kill engine the noise still exists until I make a complete stop. The finally checked into that and 4 days later from my 4th time leaving it with them it’s the center differential and will need to replace the transmission. I don’t want this car anymore.
