Going to buy 05 g35 for 2500$ it has 166000 miles on it. Is it a good idea?

No bad idea, way to many miles, things are going to start to break down with that many miles and a car like that will cost you more in repairs then what you paid for it, save your pennies and get something better with lower miles

If it has been taken care of and serviced properly, I would say go for it. They are great cars and $2500 ain't much money these days.
