Would you purchase a 2006/2007 Infiniti M35x with 100k miles?

Asked by Imashopper Jul 28, 2016 at 09:18 PM about the 2006 INFINITI M35 x AWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Just looked at a cream puff of a car: interior & exterior were meticulously
cared for by one owner.  It's either an 06 or 07 model and has just over 100k
miles.  (We own an 04 Infiniti G35x that needed a transmission replacement at
59k.  Otherwise it's been a great car.) Please comment on the M35x please!

We owned a 2009 G37x sedan for 60,000 miles since new. We had zero problems with it. It never once returned to the dealership. I personally would avoid Infiniti cars with high mileage unless a complete service history was available. We traded our G37x for a very low mileage Lincoln MKZ AWD and love it.

I have144000 on our M35 and have no thought of selling or trading. If you maintain your car with proper oil and filter, tires, pressure, etc. I expect to get 250k out of this onel.

I have an 06 m35x with 175k miles and haven't had a single problem with it. Realizability has been fantastic.

My 2006 M35 is just finishing up a 4,000 mile on cross country trip and will have 260,000 when we get home. Super reliable car ..uses a qt of oil every 2,000 miles. Valve covers leaked at 200,000 miles $600. Other than that only oil, tires and brakes...amazing car. Shooting for 400,000 miles!

Why did they change the front end shocks? If you need to replace them it will cost over $2000 because the original parts have been replaced with a new design??? and the only place you can purchase the parts is from the dealer. There is no aftermarket substitute.

I have an immaculate 2009 M35x with 100k miles with no major issues in its life. I just change the oil, brake pads and battery and it performs. Flawlessly.

@GuruV1SZ9 On original engine is par for the course with Infiniti 3.5 and 4.5 litre engines...how many transmissions, though??
