What size of muffler should I buy

Hi I have a 2000 mustang and it has
stock muffler and I'm guessing it's
2.25 now do I buy a 2.25 and clamp
it or do I buy a 2.5 muffler and slide
the pipe in it and clamp it

Turbo mufflers are almlst stock sound when you have cats on
