Check oil level maybe low on oil. If full and still knocking either timing is off or bad rod bearing.

Yes..thank you. Can't be oil issues. Maintained regularly and changed recently. Is this "rod" an expensive job?

Check your anti freeze level. If it is low it is a rod knock I know this because just worked on a vehicle that run low on anti freeze and the rod bearing started knocking. On that vehicle I replaced the rod bearings by lifting front end and supporting it and removed oil pan and replaced rod bearings do not know if all vehicles can be done this way.
