if I but a new fulley charge battery in my ford focus will it get me 50 miles the alt is shot
wont to know if it will still run

Do you have a ground connection? the only way these things "par-broil" is when there isn't any good ground available...check the main 1/0 cable to the chassis...wirebrush all connections and re-assemble....TEST at the harness that the ground is happenin' STRONGLY there at that location~
