Is replacement of both front lower control arm bushings common for a 6 year old cadallic srx?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The dealership here recommend replacement but did not elaborate.  My
brother voiced concern because neither of us has ever had this repair on any
previous car (one friend did on a 17 year old car).  I am about ready to take a
long trip and am concerned.  I have had regular maintenance..no issues with
the car.  Thank you

They said same to me my srx has 64,000 miles Seems odd to me. Never had this done before . Car is regularly service st authorized Cadillac dealer. Said bushings were showing cracks. Only thing u notice is in rain tires squeak on asphalt
