What could this squeaking noise mean in my son's 2002 Sonata?

Asked by lalawler Jan 16, 2015 at 02:21 PM about the 2002 Hyundai Sonata V6 GLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The squeaking seems to be coming from the right tire when turning right or moving the
steering wheel a little bit to right or left but not when turning left.  Hitting the brakes
makes it worse.  The brakes seem to be working fine and car runs great otherwise.

Sounds like the brake pads are worn out and the wa t ning tab is hitting the rotor causing the noise.
