Wrong tranny fluid

My brother put in dextron 111 in his Hyundai Accent
now it won’t shift into reverse. Drained fluid and put
in dextron VI but still no reverse. What can I do if
anything?

Well I don’t know how long he drove around with the wrong transmission fluid either but it’s on me now as he went to jail and the city is on me about it. But I’ll jack it up and check all the connections. It does go into all other gears as far as I can tell it’s just reverse. Are there gears or is Hyundai a banded transmission?
