Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2001 Ml 320 is at shop. Mechanic changed
transmission plate but says car will not shift out of
1st gear. He checked gear cellenoid and they are
fine, fluid is fine, and all is as it should be but  it
won't shift out of 1st gear. Any help would be
appreciated
