Drive on the highway @ 50 MPH or higher for 10 minutes without touching the brake. Let up on the gas as you approach the exit and coast in; apply brakes. While doing this, turn on the radio, a/c, heater, all the gadgets. You also have to drive for several minutes at 40 MPH or below under normal operations, starting and stopping.

Are you just collecting information, or do you have actual issues readying the monitors? Specific tests for each monitor I do not know. I do know that you have to drive the vehicle under normal operating conditions and as described above to ready the monitors. If you are having trouble with certain monitors there is probably an underlining reason. You must have over 1/4 of fuel in the tank for the evap monitor to get in the ready- this is just one aspect. I have the same issue with my 1999 Sonata- the evap cannot get ready, but I know why. My Fuel Gauge is stuck on E, hence the evap will never get in the ready no matter what I do unless I correct the aforementioned issue. I am trying to find out if there is a fuel gauge fuse, and if so, where. If you have certain codes, that too will stop certain monitors from getting ready.

I have a 2002 hyundai sonata v6 gls, I had to change the battery and my smog is due in 2 weeks. I rejected the smog because of the battery change reset the codes. This happened 3 years ago and I had to do a very specific set of drive cycles. It happened again but I don't remember the exact procedures I had to due. And I cant find the drive cycle online anymore. I remember I had to drive between 50-55mph for 3 minutes, coast to a stop, then turn car off, but I dont remember the rest. Can anybody help, If i cant get the smog done by friday, the car cant be registered.

Going through the same thing. Doing what you are doing....but then after the first coast stop and idle, you then drive again for 10-20 minutes @ 50-55 the coast again to a stop. Then shut off the car. Idk...I'm still working on it. It's Frustrating and dangerous how they want you to drive to clear these codes up

Start your car from a cold start let it idle for 1 and 1/2 to 2 minutes. Then drive normal to the nearest freeway accelerate within 15 seconds pushing on the paddle at 1/4 to 3/4 , to a speed between 50-55. Do this for 2 and 1/2 to 3 minutes and then allow the vehicle to decelerate the zero without hitting the brake. Allow the car to idle 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Do the same procedures as above however you will continue driving for 10 to 20 minutes. Stay between 50 and 55 without utilizing your break. Allow the car to decelerate without utilizing the break. Allow the car to idle in drive for 1 and 1/2 to 2 minutes. Turn the vehicle off a minimum of 2 minutes... and your drive cycle should be complete for a 2002 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6. Your fuel tank must be between 1/4 and 3/4 of a tank. It's important to do it from the cold start!

2007 Sonata, P0455 error, repairs made, errors cleared, 450 miles driven under many conditions, EVAP test was still incomplete. The car WILL NOT run one of the EVAP tests unless gas level is between 1/2 and 1/4 of a tank. Good grief! What a horrendous time discovering that.
