Question type: Maintenance & Repair

car would rev up to 500 rpm above normal range when driving normally then
after a few seconds drop back to its normal rev range?..why?
does this constantly when driving longer trips and engine is hot.
car also stalls sometimes when idling at lights..revs drop?..its an auto so no
clutch issues here?

Check the transmission fluid level while the engine is running, Does this do this in park? I'm thinking maybe the Throttle Positioning Sensor. Also check for any codes if the check engine light is on.
