Engine vibration

Asked by GuruCH48V Feb 21, 2019 at 11:32 AM about the 2004 Hyundai Sonata FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

04 Hyundai Sonata, I just had all belts
changed including timing belts. He had to
take off engine mount. I think there's four of
them. Could one of the other mounts be
bent and that's why I'm getting so much
vibration?

yes...did he replace them all?how long ago...tell him to fix it !

Did he realign the oil pump when he changed the timing belt? If not the engine will vibrate. YouTube pump alignment for 2004 2.4 liter Sonata, correct alignment before reinstalling the timing belt is by using a drill bit through the side of the engine to see if it falls in the hole of the oil pump shaft or turning the oil pump gear 90 degrees away from it's timing mark and releasing, if it rotates back to the timing mark position it is okay, if it falls away rotate 1 full turn and try again, you have three times to get it right with either method. The oil pump rotates three times for every one full rotation of the crankshaft.Unfortunately he will have to take everything off again. Good luck.
