Brake Lights

Asked by Keaton Sep 23, 2017 at 09:17 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire SLX Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The brake lights on my car are not working. The
signal lights and hazards all work, the tail lights
light up fine but they never get brighter when i
press down on the brake. Ive changed the bulbs,
changed fuses and nothing has worked yet.

Brake switch could be bad..look under where ur break pedal connects and check for broken wires

If wires look OK, the switch itself may have died. It controls when your brake lights come on and is cheap and easily replaced.
