I have a 1990honda civic dx I just bought it was overheating now it shoots white smoke from exaust

I bought the car in oct. Decided to give it a tune up changed spark
plugs .it started overheating badly. Then white smoke started from
the exhust it still runs and starts the man I bought it from had
assured me it was running great , one month after purchase this is
what happened

I hope its not a blown head gasket, but thats what its looking like.

Yes blown head gasket. See if there is antifreeze in the oil.

Thats what I thought I was checking prices to repair but it almost seems cheeper to replace engine

The guy I bought it from I guess put additive in rad. To maybe mask problem I was told

i have a 04 honda civic i drive everyday went to work this morning no problem.. when i tried leaving work car starts up every time but after 2 seconds if that it dies out... also tried holding down pedal and rpm goes up but still dies out and can hear like putty noise from exhaust fuel pump sounds like its working and i can see from engine it shoots out.... what can this be? 1 Answer
