If I plug the map sensor in the car will start and die right away but if I leave it unplugged it starts and runs but idles rough and smells like gas

Your problem is NOT the MAP sensor. It most likely has an issue with the o2 sensors not working properly OR the incorrect ECU in the car since its had the engine swapped. Could be incorrect Fuel injector size or any of 100 problems causing your issue. Take it to a qualified Honda Technician. It will be money well spent to have it diagnosed by a proessional.

The ecu is a chipped and tuned for the motor . The car was running perfect till couple days ago
