Will a 235/70/16 fit my 01 Safari?

The tire size must match the rims so it depends which wheels (rims) are on your truck. Check out tirerack.com to see which wheels you have and the site will let you check different tires sizes to fit.

Thanks Gary, I understand that. What I should have said was if I bump up my tire size from a 15" wheel and tire to a 16" wheel with a 235/70/16 is there room to do this on my 01 Safari awd?

I would say yes, they should fit. I found this site and it lists 235/70/15 tires as 28" in diameter. The 235/70/16 is only 1" taller (29"). Here is a tire size calculator: https://tiresize.com/calculator/
