Rough idle after I changed my plugs

Asked by Ryan Aug 09, 2017 at 05:26 PM about the 2000 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition 5.4 triton. I changed the
plugs and oil yesterday. Now the vehicle revs up high on
the idle and runs high for a min then idles down.

Did you accidental disconnect a vacuum line? It is normal for a cold engine to idle at around 1,400 rpm for a minute or two.

A rough idle could be due to mixing up coil wires. Is the CEL on?
