2000 Ford Expedition Oil Pressure Issues

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently had a oil leak that was repaired because the red oil light came on .
Now a few days ago it came back on even after I just got it fixed . Could it be
another issue like Oil pressure ?

The light means the pressure is low. I do not believe your engine has a low oil level light. If you drove it with the light on the engine may be damaged. Have a mechanic check to see if the pressure really is low. Possible causes - worn engine, worn oil pump or bad oil pressure sender. How many miles on the engine?

My 2002 F150 has 185,000 and no issues at all. I change the oil every 3,000 miles.

What is the problem with my 2000 ford expedition 5.4 engine, was driving after a oil change and the oil light came on and the oil Guage dropped all the way down and did not return to normal. Now I hear a tapping sound like it's not getting oil
