my car died why i was driving it didnt make any sound and still had full power. now it turns over but wont start it all
most sounds like its back firing. i have spark i have gas and the timing is only off by a little but am fixing it soon. but
i dont think the timing is off enough for it to make the car not start. any ideas could it be something stupid like MAF
sensor? im not getting why its not starting. everything looks fine and i have never had any trouble with the car in the
past.

When was the last time you checked the timing belt? Most likely out of time now.

My daughter called me and told me what was going on. She said gas hand just dropped and dashboard didn't light up, and the brakes got hard to press.

Car doesn't seem to ne getting fuel when starting. The starter turns over and have plenty of power getting to the car.. If I pump the gas pedal or hold it down when I try to start it, will start 3 Answers

Once it is running it is almost like its choking out and the check engine light will flash for a bit then the car runs OK... Any ideas?

About 3 weeks ago I went to start up my 2009 Honda Civic Sedan lx and lights came on and everything but wouldn't start. On the third time trying to start it none of the lights came on, so I changed the battery. I tried starting it with the new battery, all lights came on perfectly, but it wouldn't turn over. I changed the starter and the car ran fine with no problems for maybe 2 weeks. This morning I was driving down the road when the check engine light came on and the engine suddenly started to rev up uncontrollably. I was able to brake but it was very hard to do because the engine kept revving. Without my foot on the brake the car was going 30 something mph, when I braked and got below 15 I felt a hard downshift. Has anyone had these simliar problems or know what might have cause this kind of behavior? 3 Answers
