My 95 Honda Accord V6 wont start properly after a freelance mechanic replaced the starter.I got the guy to replace the starter, but now the car is having some problems with the ignition. when i turn the key to the 2 position, nothing comes on. no dash, no radio, no fuel pump sounds. And when i crank it, i get power, and i can here the starter crank, but the car wont stay running after i stop cranking. i have been able to get the car running by turning the the key slightly past 2, this sends power to the dash, radio and fuel pump. i let the pumps work their magic and after a few tries i can get the car running normally. That is, of course, until i turn the car off and need to go through the process again.what the hell did he do to my car?

The positive wire and the ground are touching on the starter its probably not a starter from the dealer so some of them will touch unless you put a washer on it or grind one of the bolts down. It could have messed up the ECU take your battery cables touch them together (while disconnected) it'll reset the ECU or Check your fuses. He sould have disconnected a plug under the car and didn't plug it in but I don't think anything down there would cause it to shut power of. I would start by checking every fuse inside the car and inside the engine bay, then the battery.
