My Passport has intermitant idle problems. Sometimes it will not idle, it just dies. After a bit it will resume normal idle speed and idle fine. Whats up with this?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car has episodes of not idling at all.  After restarting several times it idles fine.  This has occurred both when hot and cold.  It seems to be electrical in nature because I notice the volts drop during the duration of the episode.

Well 1acatbellew, it's sounds like you have a pretty good clue that it's electrical and you should have that theory followed up. One other thought might be fuel chain. A failed fuel pump relay or clogged fuel filter ... It sounds like it's time to seek professional help. Good luck!
