My 2000 Ford Excursion Limited V10 6.8L 136k turns over but will not start
My son took my Excursion to his cousins. Started fine as always. Goes to leave to head to work and gets two block and the truck dies and he could not get the truck started. Great cranking of the motor but will not fire. I had it towed home and am trying to find the issue w/o going to the dealer. Replaced all fuses and relays based on fuel and ignition. Had battery checked and was a little low trickle charged overnight now at 13.05 volts and plenty of crack no start. Put Bosch OBDii connector on came back w/ -0- codes. I can hear the fuel pump kick in. A mechanic lived right where the truck died and checked several things and said no power to the ignitors. He also said it might be a loose ground or broken wire/bad connection. Replaced the camshaft sensor next is crankshaft sensor. Help, what am I missing here. Bought new fuel filter to replace just in case. Can't find the filter in the frame channels. Spent around $200 in test tools to figure this out. Going to dealer is out of the question as the nearest dealer charges $135 an hour. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as I am working on this vehicle in the street and it won't move into the garage due to the tow driver refusing to place it there. The Computer it went out, you will have to replace it. it happened to me in November
If the engine is turning over and no spark sounds like it could be the timing chain/belt. Is the engine turning over freely? That is what I would put my money on timing belt/chain.
I've got the problem that bdogllc posted about and have changed so much stuff crank sensor cam sensor toning even a all ten coils we get gas to engine and fire but not start so I need to know what to do is it my computer because it's throwing zero codes If you get a answer call me 606 634 8583 what originally happened I noticed the oil pressure gauge was down low so I pulled over and turned it off and then it would not started back so that was towed home and then I been changing everything as mentioned Mine is a 2005 ford excursion and it's gas v10 6.8l

My 01 Excursion had the same issue and it was the oil pressure sensor. Dealer wanted $800 to change it and I purchase the part and did it myself in 10 minutes for $125.00
Update on my excursion it was not my computer because I replaced the motor with another one I found through a dealer for $400 with an additional $350 labor to change it out ever since the change over it is running perfect so it probably had jumped time on the old motor our best guess
