1996 Honda Accord - transmission

Asked by driver3 Apr 04, 2007 at 05:35 PM about the 1996 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

longer than usual delay when shifting from R to D and bogs down when downshifting for more power (going around a corner, etc.). What could cause this?

1 Answer

There are a couple of possible causes driver3. Check your fluid level first and make sure it's where it should be. If it isn't fill it properly and see if that fixes the problem. Then run down the source of the leak. The last thing you can get involved with is the vacuum lines. Check their integrity and make any repairs that are needed. If you don't know what or where they are, or if that doesn't solve the problem you should seek professional help for your tranny. Good luck!
